Expresssions at the Garden!

This party is really going to be the coolest birthday party I've ever had (by coincidence--it's not really just for my birthday) because it's going to be at a garden coffee shop and there will be live music and I will be showing my ART AND PHOTOS and I'm alive for it! :)

I'm going to be 32. But that's not what really matters.

What really matters is that Jareb and David and Fiona are going to be singing and that Jeremy and Darren and Monica are going to be serving lots and lots of guests and that I am going to be showing my art and photos--which means it really is the rebirth of my life. You know--since last year I kept the whole birthday thing on the down low, a little bit.

Details soon--but keep Dec. 9, Saturday, 6-9 p.m. open on your calendars. It's a very important day. It's my BIRTHday. :)

And the first inaugural Expressions in the Garden!

just a sample

While these are not necessarily the titles of the work, these images are just a small sample of the photography you will see at the Nov. 11 show at The Center:

San Diego Lights from the Balboa Bridge with Amanda

Cabrillo National Monument Park--The Water Comes In

Cabrillo National Monument Park: The World is Old Already

The images are supposed to have watermarks on them, but apparently it's a really good thing I have a webgodess instead of trying to do my webpage myself... it's coming soon! I know you can't wait to see olaina.com in all its glory!

Note to Self

Five hours of taking photos at an event equals about 30 hours of time spent total on preparing the images. Don't be shy! Set realistic expectations! And yes, these hats and gloves just happened to be sitting on the table with the mirror reflection exactly the way you see them here, so of course I shot a photo of them. It's a little fine art photography mixed in with photo journalism. I think it's a very nice combination of talents.
